The Evolution Float Valve Equalizing Assembly provides a safe and effective method of relieving trapped wellbore pressure in a controlled and effective manner. The pressure rating for the Float Valve Equalizing Assembly is 7500 PSI (0.517 MPA). The system is composed of an equalizing assembly, a bleed assembly, a profile nipple, a lock mandrel and a retrievable float valve. The Retrievable Float Valve connects to a specified lock mandrel that corresponds to the profile that is either to be run into the wellbore or currently exists in the wellbore. The Evolution Float Valve Equalizing Assembly has been designed to be used in conjunction with current or existing wireline tools and equipment readily available from local slickline service providers.
OperationThe Float Valve Equalizing Assembly’s shaft is mechanically actuated by turning the T handle to the right which in turn allows the shaft to slowly thread down to open the float valve attached to the bottom of the lock mandrel. This will allow any trapped pressure to escape and bled off through the bleed port in the body if so equipped.
